Reaction time of Persons Influenced by Alcohol
Ohera, Adam ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the issue of reaction time of those people who are affected by alcohol. The thesis is divided into two main parts, the first part is focused on the research of the present state and it submits the theoretical background related to the topic of this thesis. The second part describes both the experiments related to the reaction time of the people affected by alcohol and the evaluation of the results of such measurements.
The Impact of Alcohol Excise Duty on Importers of Food Supplements in the Czech Republic
Ondroušková, Simona ; Florián, Aleš (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with the import of food supplements from the European Union and third countries subject to excise duty on alcohol. The first part focuses on theoretical knowledge of indirect taxation, harmonization of indirect taxes in the EU, Excise Tax Act and particularly the excise tax on alcohol. The second part analyzes the impact of the Excise Duty on Alcohol Act and the Mandatory Labeling of Spirits Act on importers of food supplements in the Czech Republic.
Nowadays....
Kouba, Tomáš ; Surůvka, Jiří (referee) ; Ruller, Tomáš (advisor)
The set of works created from private video of materials, unfinished concepts and new videos. Essential motive passing through these videos is to develop a simple, stern, radical expression.
Automatic table distillation column
Ružička, Michal ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The semester thesis deals with the issue of alcohol distillation and analysis for understanding at the level for construction of the facility itself. It deals with the requirements for the distillation equipment and parameters that may affect the quality of the distillate. On the basis of which is created automated control by microcontroller. This apparatus is exposed to tests and measurements of the required values during distillation. The cooling unit was also built and measured.
Energy drinks in contemporary nutrition
Krňávková, Martina ; Hrstka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vránová, Dana (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is dealing with consumption of energy drinks and their effects on the human organism. The introductory part gives an overview of the most frequently occurring components of energy drinks including their chemical composition, properties and sources of these substances and nutrition recommendations. The next section describes the effects of consumption of energy drinks on the human body and health in general. The final part deals in detail with the impact of their consumption on sports performance and on human health and the possible consequences of consuming energy drinks combined with alcohol.
Design of personal breathalyzer
Ianishevskaia, Darina ; Rubínová, Dana (referee) ; Ondra, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis resolve a design of personal alcohol breath tester. The goal is to design a product that solves ergonomic imperfections of currently existing products. The solution was in unconventional design of hygienic cover and unusual shaping overall. The final product solution meets the technical and ergonomic requirements and keeps the originally appearance.
Analysis of the Excise Tax and its Administration in the CR
Hellebrand, Marek ; Neubertová, Jana (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to do a close analysis of excise taxes in the Czech republic. Sectional objects are exploration of Czcech national budget and excise taxes relations and analysis of actions took in harmonization of Excise taxes law and European Union regulations.
Electric discharges in water and organic solutions
Klímová, Edita ; Brablec, Antonín (referee) ; Kozáková, Zdenka (advisor)
This work is focused on study of electrical discharges in liquids, especially in water solutions. Generation of the discharge in water solutions leads to simultaneous effect of UV radiation, shock waves, electrical field and most importantly, chemically reactive species. This can be utilized in many applications such as sterilization, degradation of organic waste products, lithotripsy or other medical applications. The experimental part is concentrated on a diaphragm arrangement of the reaction system. This means that the reactor is divided into two electrode reservoirs connected only through a small orifice in a dielectric barrier. This barrier is made of Macor® non-porous ceramics with thickness of 1 mm, with the diameter of the orifice 0.6 mm, in the first part of work. In the second part, ShapalTM-M ceramics of thickness 1.0 mm and orifice diameter 0.6 mm was used. The experimental part is divided into two sections. For both, NaCl is chosen as an electrolyte to set the initial conductivity of the tested solutions to the value of 400 S/cm. Supplied direct voltage is regulated to attain power of 100 W in the system. In the first part, effect of addition of chosen alcohols (ethanol, isopropylalcohol and glycerol) on the efficiency of the discharge in their water solutions is studied. For this purpose, a special glass reactor was designed and constructed. The efficiency of the discharge is measured by a spectroscopic determination of concentration of complex formed by a titanium reagent and hydrogen peroxide, which is generated during the discharge. The results show no positive effect of addition of extra OH group to the reaction through the alcohols. The use of isopropylalcohol causes even a significant decrease in the amount of hydrogen peroxide generated. The subject of the second part is a comparison of effect of different electrode materials on the discharge. The efficiency is measured by the same method as in the first part. Materials chosen were stainless steel, platinum, aluminium, copper and carbon. Each material shows different hydrogen peroxide production rate under the same parameters. The most perspective material seems to be carbon, as an inert material, that can be expected not to initiate any decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. The least favourable appears to be copper. When used, no production of hydrogen peroxide was observed in one of the electrode parts of the reactor.
Shadows/Conspiracy
Valchářová, Martina ; Houdek, Vladimír (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with psychosis. Portraits of people who suffered from some type of psychosis, and which in most cases is caused by long-term drug abuse or drinking of alcohol. This is depicted with figurative painting in such a way that the painting that its style and the color spectrum corrensponds to the profile of a person with this form of mental illness and mental changes in the brain at different stages of of the disease. The output will be a series of paintings of a united size of formats that will be based , thematically a basis of dialogues with people who currently suffer or have suffered from some psychosis. The authenticity of the experiences of these people with toxic psychosis is very sensitive material, therefor it is proccessed, in this series, in such a way that can it bring closer to the viewers to posibally unimaginable situations and ways of perception of reality.
Basic features of wine fermented from freerun and pressed must
Becková, Eliška ; Šalplachta, Jan (referee) ; Vespalcová, Milena (advisor)
My work is engaging in winemaking of white and red wines. Theoretic processes and goings during winemaking is describe in the first part of this work. It deals harvest of kapes, fermetation, clearing wine, chemical content of grapes and wine, deseases and abnormality of wines. There are this described choosen variettes, their grapes were processed practically. The third part of this work is dealed in practice winemaking and chemical analyse sof wines. Musts from the start of pressing, from the first dressing and from the end dressing fermented to the end dressing . They were fermented and than analysed by chemical and tasting tests. The discussion about the dependence of the quality of wines on the kind of the must during pressing is presented in the end of this work. The results are motivated by chemical analyses and senzoric tasting of the experts.
